I recommend this little book. It is an old book and a short one and very much in favor of Archbishop Cranmer. So it can be a little long on drama. That's fine with me as I realized the author had his filters on and I share some of those filters. But, really, for me, it was a book that made me want to read a more in-depth biography of this man with whom I sense many people could identify. So, I also purchased a hardcover of Diarmaid MacCulloch's biography. I have not, however, read that yet. But I hope it is more sympathetic to the religious impulse than appears in MacCulloch's history of the Reformation.Product details
